APPLICATION OF BASIC BUILDING SERVICES
The learning objectives are:
-To develop students' understanding and knowledge of building services and its systems in design and constructon.
-To apply appropriate building services systems and solution for a specific design.
-To demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of applicability of specific building services systems in the design in response to practical considerations
-To develop students' ability to resolve issues related to specific building systems.
Learning Outcome:
-Identify relevant systems to water supply, electrical supply, sewage and storm water management.
-Describe the planning of building services within the total design and construction process.
Describe the installation of building services within the total design and construction process.
Project 2
BUILDING SERVICES IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS
The learning objectives are:
-To introduce students to basic principles, process and equipment of various building services systems found in buildings
(experiential learning)
-To expose students to the intergration of various building services systems in a building.
-To allow students to demonstrate their understanding of building services systems.
Learning Outcomes:
-Identify and understand relevant information related to mechanical ventilation, air0conditioning systems, mechanical
transportation system as well as fire protection systems.
-Understand how each building services functions which includes its connections, intersections and installation of different parts and equipments.
