PROJECT 1A

Pre-design Analysis

The module of this semester is based on the theme of "sustaining humanities", architecture for people, place and time. In this phase of the project, we are given a site and required to carry out a site study and analysis on the site given. We are required to look into the cultural, contextual and technological that are in context with architectural design. Besides, we are also required to have deeper understanding and studies on the issues and significance of the site given in order to help us in developing our design strategies that compliance with the requirements in the subsequent project.

The objectives of the project are as follow :

1. To develop a simple brief for an architectural design project.

2. To conduct pre-design analysis to inform the design project.

PROJECT 1B

Architectural Proposition & Design Strategy Proposal

In this phase, we are required to propose and prepare a project brief based on the information gathered in Project 1A. The project brief shall provide a clear statement on the building program, design statement, design strategies and conceptual development. We are also required to propose design that compliance with the UBBL and by laws guideline.

The objectives of the project are as follow :

1. To develop a design strategy (to the level of sketch design phase) of the proposed project.

PROJECT 1C

Detailed Design

This is the final phase of the project at which we are required to produce a detailed design from what we have proposed in our design proposal project. We are required to include full plans for all floors, elevation and section drawings to support the design statement made. We are also required to produce perspective drawings or render including exterior and interior of our proposed building.
